Dear Erica and Nan:
I wanted to write and tell you how important Transcendance has been to my healing journey.
Although I have always been very shy about dancing, something drew me to a poster describing your work. It introduced me to whole new worlds of healing through moving the body and of connecting with myself as a woman. You created a safe place to explore these worlds.
The movement work allowed me to move things emotionally that I didnt have access to at a conscious level. Moving my body kept my emotions moving, keeping me from being stuck. I didnt have to explain myself just be fully present. I learned a whole new language of expression through the body that is different from the world of words we usually live in.
Hearing and embodying the stories of different goddesses through movement opened up a part of me that had been buried by the working world. Having worked with men most of my life, it was a new and wonderful to dance in a circle of women. The stories of the goddesses provided inspiration for the different ways we can be powerful as women.
Having gone through a number of different sessions of your Gate of the Goddess work, I feel I learned something new and deeper every time.
Thanks so much for all the heart and soul you put into your classes. Besides being wonderful places to learn and grow, they are a lot of fun too.
